The KEMPINSKI HOTEL SAN LAWRENZ.is an exclusive hideaway resort, giving you all the comforts five stars can offer. Surrounded by 30,000 sqm of gardens, the resort creates an elegantly rustic atmosphere with natural stone floors, palm trees, flower beds, local woods and Mediterranean colors.

Our guests enjoy the ultimate in comfort and relaxation of elegant and spacious rooms. While during the hot summer months cool stonewalls and air-conditioning offer reprieve from the heat, the rooms’ generous size and pleasing ambience will be appreciated when longer stretches of time are spent indoors in the cooler season.

Each room has a private balcony overlooking either the beautiful valley of San Lawrenz, landscaped garden or pool areas. All rooms are equipped with individually controlled aircondition and heating, cable TV, safe, mini-bar, tea and coffee making facilities, direct telephone and wireless Internet access. Bathrobes and slippers come with the compliments of the hotel, for our guests’ convenience.

Wellness and Ayurveda

At the KEMPINSKI SPA at SAN LAWRENZ, guests can relax their bodies and minds, in one of the largest and best Ayurveda and Wellness Centres in the Mediterranean.

A variety of Marine Therapies are available. These include Algae body wraps, balneo baths and peeling scrubs, facial treatments, refreshing Vichy showers, massages in the hydrojet tub, underwater massages, flash showers for stimulating circulation and many more. Apart from Thalgo® products, which the hotel has been using since 1999, the luxurious treatments by the renowned Ligne St Barth® are exclusively available at the Kempinski Spa San Lawrenz.

Our guests can enjoy the heated indoor pool in a relaxed atmosphere or go to the steam baths or solarium. Furthermore, there is a Jacuzzi, 3 outdoor pools and an outdoor kids’ pool.

Our Ayurveda centre, the largest in the Mediterranean, is headed by a doctor qualified in Ayurveda medicine, assisted by professional staff, who are all originating from the birthplace of Ayurveda, the Kerala region in India.
Ayurvedic treatments include oil therapy, rejuvenation therapy, body slimming, aphrodisiac therapy, skin care, Panchakarma and other individual treatments from the Kerala region as well as therapies for mental well being. In addition to your Ayurveda or Spa treatment, our specially trained chefs could prepare a well-balanced Ayurvedic or Spa meal for you, to compliment your treatments.

Dining

Our two restaurants offer outstanding Mediterranean and Maltese cuisine with field fresh vegetables, olives, herbs and citrus picked fresh from the resort's own garden.

Guests may enjoy their dinner either in the elegant ambience of the Restaurant L' Ortolan or at the romantic Trattoria San Lawrenz, in which our Chef Francesco Calore creates authentic Italian dishes. The Il-Baldakkin, the café and lounge, is a popular place to while a drink or two away on its alluring sundown cocktail terrace overlooking the pool and countryside. (life music – 2-3 times weekly – changing harpist, guitarist, pianist)

All restaurants have large terraces for al fresco dining in the warmer season and offer a manifold kids menu. (BBQ – during high season once/twice weekly)
Our pool-bar offers refreshing drinks in a delightful and casual setting, while the adjacent garden restaurant Gazebo serves light lunches during high season only.

Activities

A full range of activities is offered in the resort, from a heated indoor pool and three outdoor swimming pools, over tennis and squash courts and well equipped fitness centre to the hotel’s own dive centre. The Kempinski Hotel San Lawrenz organises a variety of activities for its guests, such as island cruises and guided walking and cycling tours through the fascinating countryside. For those who would like to explore Gozo independently, we will be happy to assist with the rental of a car or scooter for delivery at the hotel.

A dive Centre gives the opportunity to discover the amazing underwater world of Gozo. The coastline is rich with harbours, inlets and coves between long stretches of cliffs.

General Conditions

• Room rates are inclusive of daily Buffet Breakfast, 5% VAT, taxes and service charge.
• The Hotel reserves the right to adjust the contracted rates for rooms and/or meals in case the Maltese Government increases the percentages of taxes and/or levies collected, as per the Maltese law, without prior notice.
• The use of the hotel facilities i.e. indoor and outdoor pools, Jacuzzi, steam bath, tennis and squash courts and gym is included in the room rate.
• The rates are applicable for bona fide individual clients staying for a minimum of 3 nights.
• The Superior Room allows a maximum of two (2) adults; the Deluxe Room allows a maximum two (2) adults and one (1) child and the Junior Suite allows a maximum of two (2) and two (2) children or three (3) adults.
• An extra adult sharing the room with two (2) adults will be charged at € 40.00 for an extra bed per night inclusive of breakfast.
• Extra beds and baby cots are subject to availability and have to be requested at the time of booking.
• Half Board can be booked at the price of € 35.00 per person per day.
• Children up to 5,99 years (maximum one per deluxe room) stay for free in their parent’s room including breakfast. They get 100% reduction on half board and in addition the hotel offers a children a la carte menu.
• Children from 6 to 11,99 years receive a 50% discount on the adult extra bed charge in their parent’s room including breakfast. They receive a 50% reduction on half board. In addition the hotel offers a children a la carte menu.
• Children from 12 years pay the full rates.
• Rooms occupied by two (2) children only, separate to that of the parents will be charges at a single occupancy rate (subject to availability)

Kempinski Hotel San Lawrenz first hotel in Gozo eco-certified

The Kempinski Hotel San Lawrenz has become one of the eighteen Maltese eco-certified hotels, and to-date the only one in Gozo.

The Kempinski Hotel San Lawrenz follows a set of criteria which improve the environment, such as environmental and waste management, procurement of energy and water, air quality, noise, building and green areas, local culture and information dissemination.

Further more the Hotel practises waste separation for recycling purposes, is using biodegradable cleaning products, collects rain water and implements a water saving and at least 50% of all light bulbs in rooms and public areas are energy efficient and 75% of the main foodstuffs used are locally produced. (Additionally solar panels on the roof)

The Hotel is supported by the management which has written sustainability policy and monitors its environmental goals. The employees receive trainings on environmental good practice whilst hotel guests are encouraged to participate in specific environmental initiatives.

Diese Zahlen sollten aber in Zukunft weiter steigen, da eine Reihe von Hotels Bewerbungen eingereicht haben um Teil des Zertifizierungsprozesses zu werden.
